Date night!

Scott and I got to go out on our first date last night since January.  We went to the Kobe Grill on the top floor of the Sheraton hotel, which is within walking distance from our apartment.  It is a teppenyaki restaurant, which is where they cook the food in front of you at the table.  It's not quite like the one's back home.  They don't make volcanoes out of onions and they don't flip the shrimp tails at you :)  The view was amazing and the food was really good.  We had shrimp, scallops, and steak.  The shrimp was first and we noticed that they were still moving before the cook put them on the grill!!  It was a little creepy to know that our food was alive right before we ate it, but it was still good.  The Japanese also try not to waste anything.  So after the cook cut up the shrimp he cut off the head and tail and smashed them up and fried them with oil.  So, we had fish head pancake things.  It sounds gross, but it was just kind of crunchy :)  I never thought I would eat a shrimp head, but now I know that I can :)

That is so interesting! Jer and I both laughed at the onion volcano and shrimp comment!
